Research Mood Generator
A web-based tool designed for NABA students in Fashion Communication and Visual Research. It randomly pairs adjectives and nouns from a curated cultural vocabulary to generate conceptual triggers — “research moods” — that guide students toward both guided and open analog explorations.
I wanted to find a fast and synthetic way to help students frame their research — making it culturally aware and less dependent on digital shortcuts.
Developed through AI-assisted mapping of independent magazines, each word in the vocabulary has an assigned color and sound. The generated chords and backgrounds form, at each combination of words, a new sound and color.
In class, we often select word pairs together, and I guide students toward the most compelling ones for their projects. The resulting research is compiled through books, essays, and cultural sources.
