When Two Dots Collide, They Slightly Alter Each Other is a simple generative sound tool designed for focus, play, and small variations in attention.

Each encounter produces a slightly different sonic condition, so the app can be used as a lightweight background environment rather than as a fixed composition.

System

The structure is built on four sine-wave oscillators, one per colour: black 110 Hz, red 140 Hz, blue 170 Hz, and green 200 Hz.

Each dot corresponds to one of these frequencies and moves independently across the screen, generating a visual field that also acts as a sound system.

Interaction

When two dots collide, their frequencies are modified through alternating operations of ×1.5 or ÷2.

These micro-variations accumulate over time, so the harmonic field never settles into a stable pattern and is continuously reshaped by accidental encounters.

Use

The result is a customizable soundscape that remains minimal but never identical to itself, balancing repetition and deviation in a very direct way.

The app can be approached both as a playful interface and as a simple ambient tool for concentration, rhythm, or low-intensity listening.
